Red Mud Rookie - Tweet Cloud

This is where we'll share what's going on within Red Mud and the industry in general. As we will continue to work in ever varying verticals through our publishing business, the news here will largely be media focused on subjects surrounding our core areas of expertise.

Although this section is titled "News" we'll also use it as a thought dumping ground where we will discuss what's on our mind/s, post topics for discussion where we will look to others to contribute and a general are to share and share alike!

Proposed topics for discussion in the coming weeks include: "International SEO and what really works", "The problem with link building...", and "Social media and what it means for SEO..." - Obviously we would welcome any suggestions so please get in touch!

Red Mud Media launches new corporate site

30 Nov 2009

We only went fully operational in June 2008 and in so doing, launched a new site that never quite worked out for us in terms of endless bugs brought on by a combination of the CMS not being SEO compliant enough and the developers not quite grasping what was required.

Fast forward to around August 2009 and the site was hacked by some annoying twit with nothing better to do. This was the final nail in the coffin which led to us palcing something tempory up while we developed something new, which ticked all the SEO and functionality boxes, whilst remaining simple and highly SEO compliant with a platform that is both easy to maintain and easy to grow.

The new site is designed to highlight the consultancy business, but also and in equal measure, the publishing side of the business. While we want to be able to send clients and potential clients somewhere to obtain information about the company, we also want to use the site to attract business opportunities to the publishing side, regardless of whether that's an advertising enquiry or a potential investor or business partner looking to develop a mutually beneficial opportunity.

And finally, we want to use this and other sites that we publish to experiment, explore and test the types of things we've only ever dreamed of doing with our employer or client websites.
